In this part of the country, specifically in this state, the term “Lyme disease” is a familiar one. After all, it was the citizens of nearby Lyme who first brought the disease to national attention back in the ’70s.
Despite its notorious repuation — one that is growing by leaps and bounds on a worldwide scale — Lyme disease remains a mysterious and surprisingly controversial issue.
