Excerpted from Medical News Today
Lyme disease may play a role in causing autism according to a recent study published in Medical Hypothesis.
A team of five physicians led by Robert Bransfield, M.D., analyzed the two diseases and discovered a connection based on epidemiological findings, symptom similarities, case reports, and laboratory test results.

This is shocking news; my teen has been treated, after 3 years of doc shopping and zero diagnosis. He is much better today, after being diagnosed by a chiropractor (you are reading this right) via muscle testing, he determined that my son had parasites and bacterial infections in his body–to which I asked What Parasites? What bacterial infections?
You should see an Infectious Disease Specialist. After more online research I (his mom–no dr–just a reporter/editor) insisted on Lyme Testing. I wanted The Best ID Dr I could find. That’s when I learned about all the controversies and the antiquated CDC guidelines, the politics, the secrecy in finding. Lyme-Literate Dr.
Are You Kidding Me?? I thought. I was and am furious that our govt Allows for its CDC Agency to knowingly withhold current medical treatment for this potentially deadly disease.
But, I digress. My older son is autistic and his baby symptoms began as severe excema on face, elbows, legs. No MD or specialists could tell me why. We did Everything 25 years ago–before the Internet, Before ABA was deemed best practices, Before gluten-free came in dozens of choices. I was called a Refrigerator Mom who caused my son’s autism–Me–1 of the most devoted, fierce, affectionate, loving mom around. Now, today, I read that my 28-yr-old autistic son could have had LYME????
